Linseed Tea

Linseed tea is extremely beneficial to consume in the morning, especially for those who are suffering from constipation. Linseed is a natural laxative and also has other medicinal properties. Anyone who is suffering from cough or respiratory problems can take advantage of this Linseed Tea.

½ cup crushed Linseeds
2 tea bags
2 tsps sugar
1 cup water

This health drink can be prepared by simply boiling the water and adding the rest of the ingredients to it. Let the benefits of Linseeds be absorbed in the water. This takes about 20 minutes after reaching boiling point. Then you can reheat the drink and serve hot.

Eucalyptus Tea

Tired of suffering from the morning cough and cold? Well, this tea drink is one of the best solutions to your daily problems. It is a natural immune enhancer and thus will help your body in fighting viral diseases.

Few Eucalyptus leaves
2 tea bags
½ cup boiling water

This recipe is simple to prepare. Merely boil the ½ cup of water and put the leaves along with the tea bags in it. Let the medicinal properties of the eucalyptus leaves be absorbed in the boiling water for about 30 to 30 minutes. Reheat and serve hot.

Thai Tea

Thailand is famous for this chilled drink. It is rich and filling and beneficial in beating the summer heat. All Thai Teas have one common ingredient, condensed milk. They love their tea with rich and sweet milk.


½ cup tea – orange tea
1 cup condensed milk
4 tsps sugar


Take the ½ cup of orange tea and pour it in boiling water and let it cool down for few minutes. The key is to make the tea strong by repeating the above process with excess orange tea. When the tea is strong enough for you, then you can add 1 cup of condensed milk to the above mixture with 4 tsps of sugar. Stir the mixture well, chill it and then serve with shaved ice.

Apricot Tea

Apricots are one of the best resources for Vitamin A. Vitamin A is extremely beneficial in maintaining the beauty of your skin. Sip your way to a healthy and smooth skin with this wonder drink.

1 cup apricot nectar
2 cinnamon sticks
4 small orange peels
4 small lemon peels
3 cups apricot flavored tea

You can basically combine the peels of both the fruits along with the apricot nectar and the cinnamon sticks, and heat them in a bowl. After warming the above mixture, add the tea to mix all the ingredients. Then discard the peels and the cinnamon sticks and add brown sugar to the solution. Mix well and serve hot.

Lemon Tea

Lemon tea is extremely beneficial for people who are suffering from a severe cold or even Flu. This drink is rich in Vitamin C and helps your body in fighting infectious diseases. Regular intake also helps in preventing diseases by boosting the immune system.
1/2 cup. instant tea
1/2 cup lemonade drink
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup crushed lemon drops

You need to basically blend all of the ingredients to form a mix, which you can store in an airtight container. This mix can be prepared and used for making tea drinks in the future. Thus, take all the ingredients and blend them in a mixer or food processor. When you need to make this tea, take a cup of boiling water and add 2 tsps of this mixture to the cup. Stir well until it dissolves.

Russian Tea

This tea drink is the most preferred drink on the streets of Moscow. A very delicious drink, it is also beneficial for our skin.
2 cups orange drink or powder
2 cups white sugar
1/4 cup tea powder
3/4 cup lemon-flavored tea powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves

Pour the orange drink powder, sugar, tea powers, the cinnamon and cloves in a bowl. Mix them well and you can store this mixture of powders to make a quick Russian tea in the future. Now, whenever you want a taste of this tea, simply take 3 tsps of this powder mixture and add it to a cup of boiling water.

Almond Tea

Almonds are a great source for reducing your blood pressure and fighting the bad cholesterol in our blood stream. This drink does not only have medicinal properties but is also a delicious and aromatic drink.
4 Tea bags
1/2 tsp Lemon, finely grated
4 cups Boiling water
1/2 cup Sugar
2 tsps Lemon juice
1 tsp Almond extract
1/4 tsp Vanilla


This tea drink is very simple to make. Simply add the tea bags to the boiling water and let it steep until 5 minutes. Add the grate lemons and allow it to settle for few minutes. Finally add sugar, lemon juice, almond and vanilla extract. Mix it well and serve hot.

Vanilla Tea

Vanilla is one of the oldest and most aromatic of all the available species. They are an aphrodisiac and thus beneficial in medical treatment such as aromatherapy. In modern times, aromatherapy tests were conducted on various plants, and most men were aroused to the senses of vanilla.
6 Tea bags
2 Eggs
2 cups condensed milk
2 tsp Vanilla
1/4 tsp Salt
1 cup Milk
1/2 cup Whipping cream
Ground nutmeg

Boil all the tea bags in 2 cups of water. Let it cool for 5 to 10 minutes and then discard the tea bags. When the tea has cooled down, add the eggs by beating them into the drink. Later, add the condensed and normal milk, following by the vanilla extract and salt. Mix well and serve the drink with whipped cream. Use the ground nutmegs to garnish the tea.
People who don’t eat eggs can avoid this ingredient.

Hot tea Punch

5 bags of tea
6 cups water
3/4 cup sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
8 whole cloves
1 1/2 cups orange juice
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice

Bring the tea, water, sugar and the cinnamon sticks in a bowl and heat it until the sugar dissolves. Let it boil and remove the bowl from the fire. Add the tea bags and let it cool down for 5 to 10 minutes. Remove the tea bags and then add the orange and lemon juices. You should refrigerate this drink and reheat it before serving. Add the cloves for the aroma and unique taste to this delicious hot tea.

Cranberry Iced tea

This is one of my favorite and most refreshing iced teas. It is the perfect drink for beating the heat and humidity of our Indian summers. Cranberries are rich in vitamin C and help in fighting cold and other infectious diseases.
4 cups water
1 cup sugar
15 tea bags
12 glasses of chilled cranberry juice


Heat the water to boiling point, and add 1 cup of sugar. Stir the mixture until the sugar dissolves. Add the tea bags and then remove from heat and let it cool for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags, and add the cranberry juice. Stir the drink until it is mixed well and then allow it to cool at room temperate before refrigerating. Serve chilled over ice.

Tea Ice Cream

Dry tea – 1 cup
Refined sugar – 1 cup
Cornflour – 1 cup
Fresh milk – 2 cups

Heat the water and quickly remove it from the fire, while boiling. Put the hot water in a bowl and add tea leaves. Let it cool for 5 to 10 minutes and then strain. Aside, boil the milk in another bowl and add the sugar and cornflour to the boiled milk. Let the mixture cool down for 5 to 10 minutes as well. You should stir the mixture while heating, to avoid the formation of lumps. Add the tea water to this mixture. Stir it and serve it as a frozen desert.

Strawberrry Tea

Strawberries are one of the most delicious and nutritious fruits available to us. The have healing properties, as they are an excellent source for removing toxins from our body. This healthy drink will also help you lower your temperature and blood pressure.
8 cups water
3 tea bags
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup lemon juice
1 Tablespoon strawberry extract

Boil the water in a large bowl. After the water has boiled, turn the heat off. Put the tea bags into the bowl, and let it cool down. Pour the sugar or sweetener into the bowl. The tea should still be warm, so the sugar will dissolve easily. Add the lemon juice and strawberry extract. Serve it chilled.

Fruit Tea

This tea is packed with lots of vitamins from the best citrus fruits. A very healthy tea recipe, it is ideal for people who are feeling low in immunity. Besides its health benefits, this recipe is refreshing to your senses.

4 tea bags
2 cups boiling water
1 cup sugar
1 can pineapple juice
1 can frozen orange juice
1 can frozen lemonade

Place the tea bags in a bowl and pour the boiling water over the tea bags. Add 1 cup of sugar and stir it until it dissolves. Let the tea bags cool with the sugar water and then discard the tea bags. Pour the tea into a larger bowl. Add all the juices and stir them well. Add water to the contents and refrigerate. Chill the drink and shake it well before serving so that the fruit pulp in the can mixes well.

Saigon Berry Tea

Enjoy this tea as an iced tea with spices and cloves. It’s simply another variation of the common Indian tea. This drink, despite its hot spices, will still cool your body down. It provides a good mixture of hot and cold. The aroma of the cloves and cinnamon are added to relax your mind.

3 tea bags
4 cups water
12 whole cloves
12 all spice berries
2 cinnamon sticks
Lemon
Pour water and simmer it with tea, cloves, allspice and cinnamon. Cool the mix for about 5 minutes. Strain the mixture out from all the spices and tea leaves, and then let it cool down in the refrigerator. Serve this chilled spiced ice tea with lemon.

Rose Tea

While rose is a very popular fragrance and the rose flower is lovely, few people in the West realize its medicinal properties. Rose petal tea strengthens the heart and is good for the liver. It soothes the mucous linings of the body and helps cure coughs. A mild rose solution is excellent for cleansing the eyes. 2 tbs. fresh rose petals (preferably fragrant) or, 1 tbs. dried (fragrant) rose petals
2 cups boiling water

Pour boiling water over rose petals and allow to stand for 5 minutes. Strain and add honey.

Peppermint Tea

Peppermint tea is one of the safest and most pleasant tasting antiseptics. It arrests the spread of tubercle, relieves coughs, assists nutrition, and helps to increase weight. The addition of peppermint leaves to any other tea improves its flavor. Like ordinary mint, it can be grown in any garden.

2 tbs. fresh peppermint leaves
2 cups boiling water
honey to taste
Lipton Tea


Pour strained Lipton tea over the peppermint leaves, and allow to stand for 5 minutes. Strain and serve hot or cold with honey.

Dandelion Tea

Dandelion is a very powerful herb that lowers the cholesterol and blood pressure in the body. It is beneficial for skin problems such as pimples and acne. According to the USDA Bulletin #8, "Composition of Foods" (Haytowitz and Matthews 1984), dandelions rank in the top 4 green vegetables in overall nutritional value.


5 dandelion flowers
2 cups water
1 tsp. honey

Boil water and infuse the flowers. Allow to stand for 3 minutes. Strain, add honey, and serve.

Apple and Honey Iced Tea

This is a fruity and delicious iced tea recipe. Perfect for the Indian summer, this recipe has the freshness of honey and the sweetness of apples. Besides the taste of honey, your body will benefit from its energy as honey increases the immune system of the body. It’s a natural form of sugar and prevents the body from getting tired and lethargic.






3 cups water, boiling
4 tea bags
1/3 cup honey
3 cups apple juice

Steer the tea bags in boiling water for 5 minutes. Then strain out tea bags and allow the hot drink to cool down. After a while, stir in honey and juice to the drink. Mix until the honey is dissolved. Chill and serve over ice.

Saffron Tea Recipe

The excellent medicinal properties of saffron have long been recognized in the East but its exorbitant cost places it out of the reach of most people. With a distinct flavor, this tea is a brain stimulant and also strengthens the sight and hearing.

small pinch of saffron powder
2 cups boiling water
Lipton Tea



Pour strained Lipton tea over the saffron powder. Stir until it dissolves. Allow to stand for 3 minutes before drinking.

Lime Flower Tea Recipe

Lime flower is extremely useful for drowsiness and headaches. So next time you wake up in the morning with a headache, try adding some fresh lime flower to your tea.

2 tsp. fresh lime flowers
1 tsp. honey
2 cups boiling water


Boil water and infuse the flowers in it. Allow to stand for 10 minutes. Strain, add honey, and take at teatime. This drink is good for catarrhal conditions and nervous headaches.

Aniseed Tea Recipe

Aniseed is an ancient remedy that was used by the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, and Hindus for overcoming digestive disorders. Even to this day, most East Indians eat a little aniseed after a meal.

2 tsp. aniseed
1 tsp. honey
2 tsp. fresh peppermint leaves
2 cups boiling water

Infuse the aniseed and peppermint in boiling water. Strain and add honey. Take before bedtime to help cure a cold or to improve digestion.

Clove Tea Recipe


If the taste of the tea is not of great concern, then Clove Oil is a great healthy alternative. Clove Oil can be used as a natural analgesic (pain killer) and disinfectant for tooth and gum infections.

2 cloves or 1 tsp. clove oil
2 cups boiling water
honey to taste (optional)


Pour boiling water over the cloves and allow to stand for 10 minutes. May be taken with or without honey, either hot or cold.

Mint Tea Recipe

2 tbs. fresh mint leaves
1 tsp. grated fresh ginger
2 cups boiling water
Add honey to taste
Lipton tea.

Pour strained Lipton tea over the mint leaves and ginger, and allow to stand for 5 minutes. Strain and add honey. Serve hot or cold with a sprig of fresh mint.
Mint is a carminative. The whole plant, either fresh or dried, can be made into tea by the addition of boiling water. It stops vomiting, soothes a disordered stomach and improves the appetite. Mint tea can be taken with a slice of lemon and sweetened with honey. Adding a little ground fresh ginger increases the flavor.

Ginger Tea Recipe

1 tsp. fresh ginger, grated.
2 tsp. honey.
2 cups boiling water.
a few fresh mint leaves.


Pour boiling water over the ginger and mint and allow to stand for 5 minutes.This allows the flavours to mix with the tea and adds great taste. Once Strained you can add honey. Enjoy your tea either hot or cold.

Tulsi Tea Recipe

1 tbs. fresh or 1/2 tbs. dried tulsi seeds and leaves.
1 tbs. fresh or 1/4 tbs. dried orange peel.
1 tsp. honey.
2 cups water.

Boil the Tulsi and orange peel in the water and allow the mixture to stand for 5 minutes. Strain, add honey, and serve either hot or cold.

Tulsi can be boiled with regular tea and strained as Black tea or even consumed with milk. This adds flavour and gives one the satisfaction of having a regular cup of tea that we are all so use to.

Theanine is an amino acid commonly found in tea. Theanine is related to glutamine, and can cross the blood-brain barrier. Because it can enter the brain, theanine has psychoactive properties. Theanine has been shown to reduce mental and physical stress may produce feelings of relaxation and improves cognition and mood.
