Aniseed is an ancient remedy that was used by the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, and Hindus for overcoming digestive disorders. Even to this day, most East Indians eat a little aniseed after a meal.
2 tsp. aniseed
1 tsp. honey
2 tsp. fresh peppermint leaves
2 cups boiling water
Infuse the aniseed and peppermint in boiling water. Strain and add honey. Take before bedtime to help cure a cold or to improve digestion.
